About Us

Gallery Nila, located in the heart of downtown Pacific Grove, is the realization of husband and wife Ethan and Lauren Walsh’s longtime dream.

After moving to the Monterey Peninsula in 2018, Ethan was deeply inspired by the breathtaking coastline and began painting local landscapes en plein air. He quickly became known for his ability to capture the ethereal atmosphere of the region’s fog and mist. In addition to his landscape work, he is also well known for his portraits.

Lauren pursued her passion for floral design in 2022 when she transformed a 1980 Ford Courier into her own mobile stem bar, which she named Juni the Flower Truck. Before long, her locally sourced blooms and charming flower truck became popular at Lover’s Point and the bookstore.

In December 2023, the Walshes made their dream a reality by combining their art and opening Gallery Nila - named after their children, Nico and Mila. The gallery showcases their modern interpretations of traditional artistic styles. Today, Gallery Nila is a cherished part of the Pacific Grove community, drawing visitors from near and far to admire its local paintings and floral arrangements. Guests can visit Tuesday through Saturday or by appointment.
